Xiaomi, last year, launched the Xiaomi Band 7 and the Xiaomi Band 7 Pro fitness trackers. The company appears to be working on the next generation of fitness trackers – the Xiaomi Band 8. The upcoming Xiaomi Band 8 has been spotted on the NRRA certification website by Simranpal Singh. The Xiaomi Band 8 live images have been published as a part of the certification listing.

The live images reveal the overall design of the upcoming Xiaomi Band 8. The Xiaomi Band 8, similar to its predecessor, will feature a capsule-like design. However, the biggest change that can be seen is the strap design. The upcoming Xiaomi Band 8 will feature a two-piece detachable strap, similar to what we have seen on Xiaomi Band 7 Pro and several other Fitbit fitness trackers.


The Xiaomi Band 8 with the model number M2239B1 made an appearance on Korea’s NRRA database. The listing reveals support for Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity. The upcoming fitness tracker has already been spotted on TDRA certification website.

The latest certification listing for the Xiaomi Band 8 doesn’t reveal anything in the terms of specifications. However, previous leaks suggest that the Xiaomi Band 8 will feature a bigger display compared to its predecessor. Xiaomi Band 7: Specifications and Features

The Xiaomi Band 7 features a 1.62-inch AMOLED touchscreen display with a 192 × 490 pixel resolution, 326ppi pixel density, and up to 500nits of brightness. It comes pre-loaded with 100+ watch faces and offers always on display functionality as well.

The Xiaomi Band 7 sports an optical heart rate and blood oxygen sensor. It offers continuous heart rate tracking, continuous blood oxygen saturation monitoring, sleep tracking, and female health tracking in addition to regular steps and calorie tracking. The fitness tracker features support for 120 workout modes including outdoor running, indoor running, cycling, and more.

The Xiaomi Band 7 comes equipped with a 180mAh battery unit and can last for about 15 days on a single charge. It comes with a proprietary magnetic charger and takes about 2 hours to charge. It weighs 13.5 grams and measures 46.5 × 20.7 × 12.25mm. The tracker also support several features including music control, camera shutter, notifications, and more.

Xiaomi decided to not launch the Xiaomi Band 7 and Xiaomi Band 7 Pro in the Indian market. So, it is not clear if the company will bring the upcoming Xiaomi Band 8 to Indian consumers.
