Xiaomi Mi TV 4 Pro Series Starts Receiving First Important Update That Brings Bug Fixes
Xiaomi's Mi LED TV 4 Pro, Mi LED TV 4C Pro, and the Mi LED TV 4A Pro have started receiving a new update that fixes a slew of bugs and brings security patch.
Last year, Xiaomi forayed into the smart TV market in India by launching the Mi TVs. The company upgraded the lineup of Mi TVs by launching Mi TV 4 Pro series in India, back in September this year. The latest series included three models – the Mi LED TV 4 Pro, Mi LED TV 4C Pro, and the Mi LED TV 4A Pro (check out our hands-on). Now, the company has started rolling the first major software update for these TVs. Let’s dig Mi LED TV 4 Pro, Mi LED TV 4C Pro, and the Mi LED TV 4A Prointo what the update offers.

Xiaomi Mi LED TV 4 Pro, Mi LED TV 4C Pro, Mi LED TV 4A Pro Get Their First Major Update, Changelog
The latest software update for the Mi LED TV 4 Pro comes with the firmware version OPM1.171019.011.1011, the Mi LED TV 4C Pro gets the version OPM1.171019.011.1073 while the Mi LED TV 4A Pro settles for the firmware version OPM1.171019.011.1010. The update for all the three models weighs 32 MB in size. As we mentioned above, it is a substantial update for the variants and it sure does brings a slew of bug fixes and security upgrades onboard.
The update fixes Android remote app connection issue that has been troubling the users for quite some time. It also optimizes sound effect parameters on all the three Mi TV models while fixing the SDC flicker issue. The firmware update also updates Google TV Services (GTVS) release for Android 8.1 Oreo. Additionally, it also brings Google security patch.
How To Download The Update and Enjoy the Latest Features
If you have any of the Mi TV Pro models, let us walk you through the process of installing the latest update. You will first need to go to ‘Settings’ and then select ‘About’ option. After selecting ‘About’ option, you will have to tap on the ‘System Update’ option. Once you tap, the update will automatically start downloading. As the download finishes, your Mi LED TV Pro will restart, and the installation process for the update will be initiated. During the entire process, make sure you don’t turn off the TV.
The Mi TV Pro range includes the Mi TV 4C Pro that features a 32-inch display, Mi TV 4A Pro with a 49-inch screen, and the Mi TV 4 Pro with a 55-inch panel. All the three models run Xiaomi’s custom PatchWall UI that has been tweaked to suit Indian users. They also include Android TV (Android Oreo 8.1) out-of-the-box and feature a dedicated physical button on the remote to shift between the two UIs.
The Mi TV 4C Pro retails at INR 14,999 while the Mi TV 4A Pro is priced at INR 29,999. The 55-inch Mi TV 4 Pro is priced at Rs. 49,999. All these three models are available for purchase on Amazon.in and Mi.com.
