The company has now started rolling out its HyperOS update to the Xiaomi Pad 6 in India, based on the latest Android 14 version. It is one of the first tablets by Xiaomi to get a taste of its new operating system.
The Xiaomi Pad 6 is eligible for 3 major system updates, and the latest HyperOS update counts as its first. The company will also provide security patches for 5 years.

It allows users to open multiple apps at the same time in small windows, just like how one would on a desktop. It serves as a portable substitute for a PC, offering users a desktop-like experience for apps like Excel, Word, Gmail, and other productivity services.
The lock screen customizations have received a major overhaul as well. Users can now set plenty of themes and custom designs, along with custom artwork using images on their lock screen. Widgets can also be customized with respect to size, style, font, colour, etc.
How To Update Your Xiaomi Pad 6 To HyperOS
The HyperOS update for the Xiaomi Pad 6 is being rolled out to all users across India in batches.
Users can manually search for the update by going to Settings > About > Software Info > Updates.
The HyperOS update has the firmware version 1.0.2.0.UMZINXM and has a size of 4.2GB.
It is advised that users should keep their device charged above 75% before starting the update process. The overall process shall take around 10-15 minutes.
