Elista Launches Xplore 4K Google TV Series in India, Aiming to Push Premium Smart TVs Into Mass Households

Elista has introduced its new Xplore 4K Google TV lineup in India, expanding its push into the premium-smart-TV category at prices that still stay within reach for mainstream buyers. The series includes 65-inch, 75-inch and 85-inch variants, all featuring bezel-less 4K panels, Dolby Audio, and Google TV software, with MRPs starting at ₹73,990 and going up to ₹1,84,500.

The launch comes at a time when the big-screen segment continues to grow faster than the overall TV market, driven by falling panel costs and rising OTT consumption. While global majors like Samsung, LG and Sony continue to dominate the very high-end, brands such as TCL, Hisense, Xiaomi and Acer have aggressively expanded their 65-inch-plus offerings. Elista's new Xplore series enters this space with a focus on clean design, hands-free Google TV integration and local manufacturing, positioning itself as a "value-premium" alternative to established players.

At the top of the lineup sits the 85-inch TDU85GA, which aims to replicate a theatre-style experience at home through a large 215 cm 4K panel, HDR10 support and Dolby Audio. The 75-inch TDU75GA carries the same configuration for slightly smaller living spaces, while the 65-inch TDU65GA offers the more accessible entry point for users stepping into the premium size band for the first time. All three models run on the latest Google TV interface with personalised recommendations, universal search, built-in Chromecast, and Hey Google voice support, reflecting the broader industry shift toward simpler, content-first navigation.

Elista's broader strategy is equally notable. All Xplore models are manufactured at the brand's automated Industry 4.0-enabled facility in Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh, which can produce up to a million smart TVs annually. The company recently signed a ₹500-crore MoU with the Andhra Pradesh government for another plant, signalling intent to scale both production and exports. This local-manufacturing narrative helps Elista differentiate itself in a segment where most budget and mid-premium TVs continue to be largely import-dependent.

For buyers, the Xplore range is positioned as a set of large-screen TVs that prioritise design, connectivity and ease of use over spec-sheet one-upmanship. The combination of dual-band Wi-Fi, multiple HDMI ports and 2GB+16GB memory should suffice for OTT-heavy households, though gamers and videophiles may still compare them against options from Hisense or TCL that emphasise higher refresh rates or advanced HDR formats. Still, as a living-room upgrade for users who want the Google TV experience with minimal fuss, the new lineup should comfortably address most mainstream needs.

From an editorial standpoint, the Xplore series feels like another example of how the premium TV category is expanding downward, making 65-inch and above screens more commonplace in urban homes. Elista's challenge will be to build recall and service confidence in a segment where after-sales support matters as much as picture quality. If it succeeds, the brand could carve a strong presence in India's fast-maturing large-screen market.
