Vu Televisions has launched its Ultra Large QLED TV range in India, with an 85-inch model priced at Rs 1.5 lakh and a 100-inch version at Rs 2.5 lakh. Arriving ahead of the festive shopping season, the range puts screen size and built-in sound at the centre of Vu's pitch to buyers planning a home entertainment upgrade.
It is familiar territory for a brand that built a strong online identity through Flipkart's Big Billion Days. In October 2021, Vu said it had been the sale's highest-selling brand in the 55-inch-and-above TV category for seven consecutive years. The new launch draws on that association with larger screens, although the competitive landscape now gives buyers considerably more to weigh up.
Vu Ultra Large QLED TVs: Price and Availability
Both models are available from September 22 through Vu's nationwide retail network. They come in a silver-grey finish and support wall mounting or tabletop installation.
The Rs 1 lakh premium for the 100-inch model brings a matte, anti-glare screen and a 108W, 2.1-channel audio system with a dedicated subwoofer. The 85-inch version has a glossy screen and a 65W, 2.2-channel system with two speakers and two woofers.
Vu is positioning the range as an alternative to a home projector setup. Having the display, streaming platform and speakers in one device makes that proposition straightforward, although buyers will still need to account for room size, viewing distance and installation access.
Vu Faces a More Crowded Festive TV Market
The Ultra Large range follows Vu's Glo MiniLED launch in August. The challenge is making these launches stand out when competitors are also giving buyers reasons to move to larger or more capable televisions.
Xiaomi and Lumio now offer MiniLED TVs, adding another picture-technology choice to the online comparison. Lumio also expanded availability to Flipkart in January 2026, putting it on the platform closely associated with Vu's earlier success.
The competition also includes Indian manufacturer SPPL, which sells TVs under licensed brands including Kodak and Blaupunkt. SPPL reported growing demand around the FIFA World Cup earlier this year, as TV makers pursued buyers upgrading their home entertainment setups. That leaves several brands chasing attention as the festive buying season approaches.
At Rs 1.5 lakh to Rs 2.5 lakh, Vu also enters a buying decision where established premium brands such as LG, Samsung and Sony carry weight. Its clearest draw is the sheer size of the screen, but buyers weighing that against a smaller premium TV will also need to consider contrast, motion handling, upscaling and after-sales support. Vu's Big Billion Days history gives it a recognisable story; the new range still has to make its case on the viewing experience.
4K QLED Panels, Gaming Features and Room-Calibrated Sound
Both TVs use direct-lit 4K QLED panels with a native 120Hz refresh rate. Vu lists a typical brightness of 500 nits, 94% DCI-P3 colour gamut coverage and support for Dolby Vision, HDR10 and HLG.
The company separately advertises a 240Hz High-Speed Refresh mode and 144Hz Variable Refresh Rate support. Gaming features include Auto Low Latency Mode, a dedicated Game Mode and a dashboard with crosshair controls, while MEMC provides motion smoothing.
Both models run Google TV with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, alongside AirPlay, Chromecast and Apple HomeKit support. Their Dolby Atmos audio systems offer room calibration, using a test tone captured by the remote's microphone to adjust speaker output for the listening space.
Connectivity includes four HDMI ports, two USB ports, Ethernet, optical audio, dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, with ARC/eARC support. Vu also bundles two Bluetooth voice remotes and includes dedicated Cricket and Cinema modes.
