Lumio has made its Vision Smart TVs available on Flipkart, expanding its presence beyond direct-to-consumer channels and into one of India's largest e-commerce platforms. The move reflects Lumio's broader push to increase visibility and accessibility in the competitive smart TV market, particularly during high-traffic sales periods.
The TVs went live on Flipkart on January 15 at 6:00 PM IST, aligning with the platform's Republic Day Sale.
A Shift From D2C Focus to Wider Availability
Lumio entered the Indian market with a strong emphasis on direct engagement through its own online store, initially offering products such as the Lumio Arc projectors via its D2C platform. Expanding to Flipkart allows the brand to reach a wider audience that prefers purchasing large appliances through established marketplaces, where pricing, delivery, and service expectations are already well defined.
This dual-channel approach suggests Lumio is looking to balance tighter brand control through D2C with the scale and discovery offered by large e-commerce platforms.
Targeting a Crowded Smart TV Market
India's smart TV segment continues to grow rapidly, driven by increasing OTT consumption, demand for larger screens, and aggressive pricing across categories. By listing its Vision Smart TVs on Flipkart, Lumio places itself alongside more established TV brands at a time when buyers are actively comparing performance, pricing, and long-term reliability.
Flipkart's large appliance category remains a key battleground for TV brands, particularly during festive and sale-led shopping cycles.
Models and Sale Pricing on Flipkart
Lumio Vision Smart TVs are available in multiple sizes across the Vision 7 and Vision 9 series. As part of the Republic Day Sale, the Vision 7 43-inch model is priced at ₹21,999, while the 50-inch and 55-inch variants are listed at ₹27,999 and ₹29,999, respectively. The higher-end Vision 9 55-inch model is available at ₹47,999 during the sale period.
What This Signals for Lumio's India Plans
For a relatively young brand in the home entertainment space, expanding to Flipkart indicates a focus on scale and mainstream adoption rather than remaining limited to early adopters. While the D2C channel allows Lumio to build its brand narrative, marketplace availability brings higher volumes and broader reach.
As competition in the smart TV segment intensifies, Lumio's ability to balance pricing, performance, and post-sales experience will likely determine how quickly it can carve out a sustainable position in India's evolving TV market.
