iQOO 12 5G smartphone has launched in India as the first non-Pixel smartphone to run on Android 14 out of the box.
iQOO is also the first manufacturer to debut a smartphone with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC in India.
The device will be available through Amazon India from December 14.
iQOO has launched the iQOO 12 5Gsmartphone in India after teasing the launch through multiple teasers. iQOO is the OEM in India to launch a device with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. The OEM has also confirmed that the device will be free from bloatware and will offer a clean user interface. The smartphone offers support for 120W wired fast charging tech.

iQOO 12 5G: Pricing, Availability
iQOO has launched the smartphone in Legend (White) and Alpha (Black) colour options. The smartphone is available in 12GB RAM + 256GB storage and 16GB RAM + 512GB storage variants in India. iQOO has launched the smartphones at Rs 52,999 and Rs 57,999 for the 12GB and 16GB variants respectively.
iQOO offers an instant discount of Rs 3,000 for HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank Debit and Credit card customers. The brand also offers an exchange bonus of Rs 3,000 and Rs 5,000 for regular and existing Vivo / iQOO users. The upcoming smartphones will be exclusive to Amazon India, similar to other iQOO smartphones.
iQOO has already begun the pre-orders for the flagship smartphone. The company had announced a priority pass for pre-order customers, which would ship with Vivo TWS. The smartphone will go on sale in India starting December 13 and December 14 for priority pass and regular customers respectively.
iQOO 12 5G: Features, Specifications
iQOO equips the smartphone with significant improvements over its predecessor. The 2160Hz PWM dimming and SGS certification ensure that visual fatigue is reduced for users. The LTPO AMOLED panel has a refresh rate of 144Hz and a peak brightness of 3000 nits. iQOO divulges that the display gives consumers less power in comparison to its predecessors.
The device also sports wet display technology previously announced with the OnePlus Ace 3V smartphone. The technology allows users to use smartphones with wet hands. iQOO debuts the device with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC in India. The chipset pairs with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. The device also sports support for virtual RAM expansion up to 12GB.
The flagship smartphone from iQOO has one of the largest vapour chamber with over 6010 mm² of VC area to improve the performance. iQOO equips the smartphone with a Q1 Supercomputing chipset to achieve a game frame interpolation of 144FPS. iQOO also adds Motion Control for the device in the Ultra Game mode.
iQOO claims that the 12GB variant of the device scores over 2 million points on the AnTuTu V10 benchmarking platform. iQOO 12 5G is the first device to run on Android 14 out of the box. iQOO has promised three major Android updates and four years of security updates. The device will be free from Hot Apps, Hot Games and other bloatware found in Funtouch OS smartphones.
