OnePlus 12 Launch Date Confirmed; Will Debut on OnePlus 10th Anniversary in December

OnePlus has been teasing the specifications of the upcoming OnePlus 12 5G flagship smartphone for a while. The company recently confirmed the display, chipset, camera, and other features of the forthcoming flagship device. The company has now shared a new teaser on its official Weibo account regarding the OnePlus 10th Anniversary.

The company confirms that the upcoming OnePlus flagship will launch on OnePlus 10th Anniversary. The forthcoming smartphone recently acquired many certifications, including Thailand’s NBTC, China’s CQC, UAE’s TDRA, and more, indicating its global launch soon as well. The multiple certifications of the upcoming device have also confirmed its fast charging details and the device’s moniker.

OnePlus 12 Launch Date

The latest teaser shared by OnePlus confirms that the OnePlus 10th Anniversary will be held on December 4. The offline event will kick off at 7 PM (UTC+08:00) in Shenzhen. The teaser adds that the people attending the event can experience its upcoming flagship smartphone at the 10th Anniversary Fireside Chat event.

OnePlus 12 Expected Specifications

The teaser doesn’t reveal any other specifications of the upcoming device. We expect OnePlus to tease the other features of the forthcoming smartphone in the coming days. OnePlus is also expected to launch the OnePlus Ace 3 and many other products during the event. OnePlus recently showcased that it would equip its upcoming flagship smartphones with BOE X1 OLED display panels.

The Chinese OEM also confirmed that the 2K display on the upcoming smartphone is the first to obtain A+ certification from DisplayMate. The X1 panel significantly improves brightness, eye protection, and lifespan. The panel also comes with Oppo’s P1 display chip and a high-precision pixel calibration algorithm for higher brightness, better image quality, and lower power consumption.

OnePlus also confirmed that the OnePlus 12 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. The chipset is fabricated on TSMC’s 4nm architecture and has one Cortex X4 Prime core at 3.3GHz, three Cortex A720 Performance cores at 3.2GHz, two Cortex A720 Performance cores at 3.0GHz, and two Cortex A520 Efficiency cores at 2.3GHz.

OnePlus has also partnered with Sony’s LYTIA to develop a “high-end” sensor, opening up a new industry feature. A past leak from a reputed tipster has revealed the camera specifications of the upcoming device. The tipster says that OnePlus will equip the smartphone with a 50MP primary Sony IMX966 sensor with a 1/1.4-inch sensor size, OIS, 84° field of view, 23mm focal length, and an f/1.7 aperture.

The sensor will be paired with a secondary 50MP Sony IMX581 ultra-wide-angle sensor with a 1/2-inch sensor size, 114° field of view, 14mm focal length, and f/2.2 aperture. The handset will also feature a 64MP OmniVision OV64B telephoto sensor with 1/2-inch sensor size, 70mm focal length, OIS, 33° field of view, 3x optical zoom, 120X digital zoom, and f/2.5 aperture.
