OnePlus Ace 2 Pro Launch Confirmed For August; To Sport World’s First Aerospace-Grade 3D Cooling

OnePlus is working on a couple of smartphones that will be unveiled in China and global markets. OnePlus confirmed the name of the upcoming foldable smartphone soon after the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 smartphone. The upcoming foldable smartphone will be called as OnePlus Open. OnePlus is also working on a new smartphone in the Ace 2 series. We recently spotted the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro smartphone on the 3C certification website. The smartphone was also spotted in the GeekBench listing. OnePlus has confirmed the launch timeline of the upcoming smartphone. The company has also confirmed the upcoming device’s chipset and other specifications.

OnePlus Ace 2 Pro Confirmed Specifications

OnePlus has revealed that the company will launch the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro smartphone in August 2023. OnePlus hasn’t explicitly revealed the launch date of the upcoming device. The company is expected to announce the launch date in the upcoming week. OnePlus also announced that the upcoming device will feature the world’s first aerospace-grade 3D cooling. The company claims the aerospace-grade 3D cooling would be the most powerful vapour chamber.

The upcoming OnePlus smartphone will feature a vapour chamber of 9140mm². OnePlus claims that the vapour chamber is ahead of two generations and the only one reaching 10,000 mm². The upcoming device would be the first to feature three-dimensional grade cooling. OnePlus has confirmed that the upcoming device will feature Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. The device is tipped to sport the overclocked Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC with 3.36GHz.

OnePlus claims that the thermal conductivity has been improved by 60% compared to the previous generation. The aerospace-grade superconducting thermal graphite has a 41% improvement compared to normal heat-dissipating graphite. OnePlus also adds that the new technology will be equipped with the upcoming OnePlus 12 series and OnePlus Nord 5 smartphones. OnePlus will skip the launch of Nord 4 as Chinese people believe the number four is unlucky.

The company shared a demo video of the smartphone with the new technology. The video reveals the temperature of smartphones after playing Genshin Impact in high settings. The smartphone equipped with aerospace-grade 3D cooling has a temperature of 8.5°C compared to 12.8°C on the regular smartphone. Previously, the 3C listing of the smartphone revealed that the upcoming smartphone will be equipped with 150W fast charging support.

A past leak revealed that the upcoming OnePlus smartphone will have an AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution. The display will have a refresh rate of 120Hz. The chipset will likely be paired with up to 24GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. The device is expected to be equipped with a triple rear camera setup. The setup will comprise a 50MP Sony IMX 890 sensor with support for Optical Image Stabilization. OnePlus is likely to equip the device with a 5000 mAh battery.
