OnePlus recently conducted an event in partnership with Qualcomm to announce the chipset of its upcoming Ace 2 series smartphone. The BBK giant announced the OnePlus Ace 2 smartphone in February 2023. OnePlus launched the smartphone in the global markets under the OnePlus 11R moniker. The company also announced that the upcoming OnePlus Ace 2 Pro will be the first smartphone to feature the world’s first aerospace-grade 3D cooling.

A recent teaser shared by the official handle of OnePlus on Weibo confirmed that the brand will launch the forthcoming device in August in China. The device was recently spotted on the 3C certification website, revealing its fast-charging capacity. Popular tipster Digital Chat Station shared a render of the upcoming smartphone. We also spotted the smartphone in the GeekBench listing, which confirms some key specifications of the device. OnePlus Ace 2 Pro Confirmed Specifications

The teaser shared by OnePlus confirms that the brand will equip the base variant of the device with 12GB of RAM. OnePlus pledges to eliminate the 8GB variant with its upcoming flagship-level smartphones. The company adds that the upcoming Ace 2 Pro will be available in 16GB and 24GB RAM variants apart from the base variant with 12GB RAM. Previously, a tipster had revealed that OnePlus and Realme will soon launch smartphones with up to 24GB of RAM.

OnePlus is yet to confirm the storage variants of the upcoming smartphone. A report hinted that the base variant would have 256GB of storage and the top-end variant with 1TB. Another teaser shared by OnePlus hints that the upcoming smartphone can play games in high frame rate and resolution.

The company also hints that the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro will be equipped with an industry-exclusive feature for gaming. OnePlus is expected to equip the smartphone with a 6.74-inch curved OLED display from BOE. The display will have a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The GeekBench listing of the smartphone confirmed that the device would be equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC.

The chipset will pair with Adreno 740 GPU, LPDDR5X RAM, and UFS 4.0 storage. OnePlus is tipped to equip the smartphone with a 50MP Sony IMX 890 sensor with Optical Image Stabilisation. The 3C certification reveals that OnePlus will launch the smartphone with two fast charging capabilities. OnePlus will launch the device with a 5000 mAh battery which supports 150W and 100W wired fast charging tech.

OnePlus has confirmed that it won’t launch any more smartphones in the OnePlus 11 lineup. We might have to wait for more about whether OnePlus will launch the device in the global markets under the OnePlus 11T moniker or not. The company also confirmed launching its first foldable device, dubbed OnePlus Open, in Q3 of 2023. A recent report revealed that OnePlus might delay the launch of the OnePlus Open to the end of Q3 of 2023 owing to quality control issues.
