OnePlus has confirmed the debut of the OnePlus Ace 3 smartphone on January 4 in China. The BBK group-owned giant will also launch the OnePlus Buds 3 alongside the smartphone. OnePlus has been teasing the specifications of the upcoming OnePlus Ace 3 smartphone through various teasers on the Chinese microblogging platform Weibo. Digital Chat Station, a reliable tipster, has revealed the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro smartphone’s key specifications far ahead of its debut.
OnePlus Ace 3 Pro Expected Specifications
The tipster reveals that OnePlus will equip the forthcoming Ace 3 Pro smartphone with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. The upcoming Ace series smartphone will be the second smartphone from OnePlus to sport the flagship Qualcomm chipset.
The chipset features one Cortex X4 core at 3.3GHz, three Cortex-A720 cores at 3.15GHz, two Cortex-A720 cores at 2.96GHz, two Cortex-A520 cores at 2.26GHz, and an Adreno 750 GPU. The chipset will pair with up to 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM.
The smartphone is expected to ship with up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. OnePlus will equip the smartphone with a curved OLED panel sourced from BOE. The reports suggest that OnePlus will ship the device with the same 1.5K resolution panel, which will sport the vanilla OnePlus Ace 3 smartphone.
The 6.78-inch OLED panel will sport the same 120Hz refresh rate. Digital Chat Station divulges through his post that OnePlus will equip the smartphone with a metal middle frame and glass back on the rear. The smartphone will debut with Color OS 14 based on Android 14 out of the box.
The upcoming OnePlus Ace 3 Pro is leaked to debut earlier than its predecessor, i.e. the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro smartphone. OnePlus launched the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro smartphone in August 2023 in China. The rumours on the web suggest that OnePlus might debut the upcoming smartphone in the first half of 2024.
There are also chances for the device to launch in March 2024, six months earlier than its predecessor. Readers are advised to take the launch timeline with a pinch of salt. OnePlus hasn’t launched the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro smartphone globally.
No leaks exist about whether OnePlus will debut the forthcoming device in global markets. The last smartphone in the OnePlus Ace 3 series smartphones would be the upcoming OnePlus Ace 3V smartphone. OnePlus will debut the smartphone under the OnePlus Nord 4 or OnePlus Nord 5 moniker in the international markets.
