Samsung hopped on the AI bandwagon by introducing the Galaxy AI with its latest Galaxy S24 series flagship launch. The brand has officially listed several Galaxy smartphones and tablets that are receiving the One UI 6.1 with Galaxy AI. It was earlier announced that the Galaxy AI will come to more than 100 million devices by the end of 2024.

List of Older Samsung Devices Receiving Galaxy AI

Samsung has revealed that the Galaxy AI is now rolling out to multiple devices through the One UI 6.1 update in the US. This should happen for phones in India and other regions but there’s no word on when the update will roll out. Find the complete list of One UI 6.1 eligible devices below.

According to the official Samsung newsroom announcement, the smartphones in the above list will start receiving the Galaxy UI features through the latest One UI update, starting March 28. On the other hand, the Galaxy Tab S9 series will get the update this week but the brand has not specified a date.

List of Popular Galaxy AI Features Coming to Older Devices

Last month, Samsung listed several popular Galaxy AI features coming to older devices. The official listing on the Indian website confirms that these features will come to the subcontinent over the next few weeks. Here’s the list of Galaxy AI features Indian users can expect.

  1. Circle to Search: Users can simply long press on the navigation bar to pull up the feature and circle whatever on the screen that they want to get information about.
  2. Live Translate: This feature offers two-way, real-time voice and live caption translations of phone calls to remove communication hurdles.
  3. Note Assist: This feature enables auto-formatting, summarising, spelling correction, translation, and cover generation within the Notes app.
  4. Photo Assist: With Photo Assist, Samsung Galaxy users can remove reflections and unwanted objects, remaster photos, add portrait effects, and more directly from the Gallery app.

Apart from the above-mentioned features, Galaxy AI also offers a suite of useful tools like Zoom Nightography, Chat Assist, Generative Edit, Browser Assist, AI Enhanced Wallpaper, and more. It remains to be seen which of these additional features Samsung brings to the older devices.
