Vivo S18 Series Chipset Revealed Ahead of December 18 Debut in China

Vivo's upcoming S-series will consist of three handsets - the Vivo S18e, the Vivo S18, and the Vivo S18 Pro.

Vivo is all set to launch the Vivo S18 series next month in its domestic market. As announced by the company, the Vivo S18 series will debut on December 18 in China. Vivo’s upcoming S-series will consist of three handsets – the Vivo S18e, the Vivo S18, and the Vivo S18 Pro.

A week ahead of the launch, Vivo has officially revealed that the Vivo S18 Pro will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ chipset. Apart from it, the brand has also confirmed the presence of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 on the vanilla S18. Let us take a closer look at the details.

Vivo, via the official social media channels, have announced that the Vivo S18 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor. To those unaware, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 is fabricated on TSMC’s 4nm process and features an octa-core processor that consists of a Cortex A715-based Kryo Prime core (clocked at 2.63GHz), three Cortex A715-based Kryo Performance cores, and four Cortex A510-based Kryo Efficiency cores.

Vivo has also confirmed that it will equip the Vivo S18 Pro with the MediaTek Dimensity 9200 Plus processor. The Dimensity 9200+ is also fabricated on TSMC’s 4nm process and brings with it an octa-core processor which includes a Cortex X3 core (clocked at 3.35GHz), three Cortex A715 cores (clocked at 2.85GHz), and four Cortex A510 cores (clocked at 2.0GHz). The Dimensity 9200+ comes equipped with an Immortalis G715 GPU.

Alongside, famous Chinese tipster Bald Panda has claimed that the Vivo S18e will be equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 processor. The tipster further claims that the Vivo S18e will feature a flat display and a dual-rear camera setup including a 50MP primary shooter. The handset is also tipped to come equipped with a 4800mAh battery unit and 80W fast charging support.

Apart from it the tipster claims that the Vivo S18 and Vivo S18 Pro will feature curved display. The Vivo S18 and S18 Pro might sport a 5000mAh battery units with 80W fast charging support. The Vivo S18 is said to offer a dual-rear camera setup which might consist of a 50MP primary shooter and an 8MP auxiliary shooter. The S18 Pro, on the other hand, is tipped to offer a triple-rear camera setup including a pair of 50MP shooters and a 12MP lens.
