Vivo V29 5G Global and India Launch Timeline Tipped

A tipster has revealed the launch timeline of Vivo V29 5G smartphone for the global and Indian markets.

Vivo has unveiled one more smartphone in the Vivo V29 series in Europe. After multiple leaks, the company has launched the vanilla V29 5G model in Europe. Previously, Vivo had announced the V29 Lite 5G smartphone in Europe. Vivo has rebranded the vanilla Vivo S17 smartphone launched in China for the global markets. However, Vivo hasn’t revealed the pricing for the newly launched smartphone in Europe. Recently, Vivo Turkiye revealed the design of the upcoming V29 series smartphones. Tipster Paras Guglani has revealed the launch timeline of the newly launched smartphone. The tipster reveals the launch timeline for global and Indian markets.

Vivo V29 5G Launch Timeline and Specifications

A tweet from Paras reveals that Vivo will launch the Vivo V29 5G smartphone in the global markets by mid-August. Once launched in the global markets, Vivo will later launch the smartphone in India by early September. The tipster didn’t reveal any explicit launch date of the smartphone in India. Previously, the smartphone was tipped to launch in June 2023. However, the launch got delayed for multiple unknown reasons. The tipster is yet to reveal the price range of the upcoming device in India.

A recent report from tipster Sudhanshu revealed that Vivo might price the device around CZK 11,990 in Czech. The pricing converts to approximately EUR 500 or Rs 45,300. We can expect the Indian pricing of the smartphone to be much lower owing to the difference in taxation. Vivo has equipped the vanilla V29 5G model with a curved 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution. The display supports a refresh rate of 120Hz., a pixel density of 452 PPI, 1.07 billion colours, a DCI-P3 colour gamut and more.

Vivo has also equipped the smartphone with three SGS professional-grade eye protection certifications. Under the hood, Vivo V29 5G features the popular Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC, built on a 6nm process. The octa-core chipset has Kryo 670 Prime (Cortex-A78), Kryo 670 Gold (Cortex-A78), Kryo 670 Silver (Cortex-A55) and Areno 642L GPU. The chipset pairs with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. Vivo has also included support for virtual RAM up to 8GB.

The smartphone runs on Funtouch OS 13 based on Android 13 out of the box. The device also gets support for e-SIM-based connectivity. Vivo claims the device has an Ultra Large VC Bionic Cooling System. In terms of optics, Vivo equips the smartphone with a triple-rear camera setup. The camera cut-out houses two large rings, a ring LED flash, a regular LED flash and a separate ring for the macro sensor.

The device features a 50MP primary sensor with support for Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS), a secondary 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP macro lens. The punch-hole cut-out in the display houses the large 50MP selfie camera. Vivo has launched the smartphone in Peak Blue and Noble Black colour options. The smartphone is backed by a 4600 mAh battery with 80W fast charging tech support. Vivo also equips the smartphone with an IP68 rating, making it suitable for outdoor photography in rainy situations.
