The GoPro Hero8 Black action camera made its debut last month at an event in the US. Since then, the brand has launched the camera in several markets. And now it is time for India. GoPro, without organizing any event or announcing on its social media platforms, has launched the Hero8 Black Edition in the Indian market. The brand has listed the camera on India’s two leading shopping website – Amazon and Flipkart. Let us have a look at its price and specifications.
GoPro Hero8 Black: Price in India, Availability
GoPro has priced the Hero8 Black in India at INR 36,500. The brand is offering a foldable backpack and a utility pouch for free with the camera as a launch offer. This is in addition to the basic mount kit and USB Type-C to USB Type-A cable that you get standard with the camera. The Hero8 Black is readily available to purchase from Amazon India and Flipkart. The brand hasn’t announced the offline availability of the camera, but in my opinion, it will soon be available at all the major offline stores.
GoPro Hero8 Black: Specifications
The GoPro Hero8 Black has a 12MP ultrawide camera sensor. It can record videos up to 4K resolution at 60 frames per second. You can also record slow-motion videos at 2.7K resolution at up to 120 frames per second. In addition to this, there are a plethora of video recording options with various frames rates and FoVs.
The highlight feature, however, has to be the HyperSmooth 2.0. This feature stabilizes the video electronically, and it works so well that you get videos as stable as that when taken with a gimbal attached. GoPro has also packed the camera with tons of other photo and video modes, including TimeWarp 2.0, Night Lapse Video, LiveBurst, SuperPhoto, and RAW mode. You can also share images and live stream videos on various social media platforms with the Hero8 Black.
The GoPro Hero8 Black is powered by the brand’s GP1 chipset. There is a touchscreen at the rear, but GoPro hasn’t revealed its size. In terms of connectivity, you get Bluetooth v5.0, dual-band Wi-Fi ac, USB Type-C port, and 3.5mm audio jack for connecting an external microphone. The GoPro Hero8 Black packs a 1220mAh battery. And the camera is waterproof up to 33 feet out of the box.
