Jio is known for not only providing affordable mobile plans but also for releasing affordable phones. Its most recent feature phone launch is the Jio Bharat 4G, which went official over a month ago. The phone was available via Reliance Digital stores and Reliance Jio-associated single-brand and third-party multi-brand retail stores. And now, the company has added Amazon India as its newest selling partner.

Jio Bharat 4G Phone Amazon Availability

Amazon India has posted a new teaser page confirming Jio Bharat as its latest Amazon Specials product. It reveals that the new affordable 4G feature phone will soon be available. Specifically, the Jio Bharat will start selling on Amazon from August 28. The sales will begin at noon IST on the aforementioned date.

Jio Bharat 4G Phone Features and Specifications

The Jio Bharat is an affordable feature phone with 4G LTE connectivity. The phone has a T9-style keypad. You will see the “Bharat” branding on the front and the “Karbonn” branding on the back. It shows Karbonn has manufactured the phone for Jio.

The phone sports a 1.77-inch display, which is big enough considering it is a feature phone. The phone has external microSD card support up to 128GB. It should help you store your favourite music, videos, photos, and more. You will get a 0.3MP (VGA) rear camera with LED flash. Jio has packed the Jio Bharat phone with a 1,000mAh battery.

Even though it is a feature phone, it is packed with many modern-day smartphone functionalities. The most important support is obviously for the 4G network. It further offers UPI payments via JioPay. The phone comes loaded with JioCinema and JioSaavn apps and FM Radio for entertainment.

A user must have a Rs 123 recharge plan activated to keep using the Jio Bharat phone. This is a 28-day plan that offers unlimited calls, 14GB of 4G data, and access to all the Jio apps. It can also be purchased as an annual plan by paying Rs 1,234.

In other news, Jio is preparing to release its first fixed wireless access (FWA) device called Jio AirFiber. It is said to be 20% more affordable than the competitor Airtel Xstream AirFiber. The company is currently testing the device with select users, including its employees. The exact launch date and pricing details are now unknown.
