Xiaomi launched the Redmi A2 smartphone globally in March 2023. The Chinese smartphone giant introduced the Redmi A2 smartphone in India alongside the Redmi A2+ in May 2023. It is now reportedly working on the successor to the Redmi A2 smartphone. Our team at MySmartPrice has spotted the Redmi A3 smartphone with the model number 23129RN51X in TDRA (Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority) certification. This is the certification given by the federal telecommunication agency in the United Arab Emirates.

Earlier our team at MySmartPrice had spotted the upcoming Redmi A3 smartphone in NBTC certification, which is given by Thailand. The NBTC certification had confirmed the moniker and indicated that the global launch would take place soon.

Redmi A3 Spotted on TDRA Certification

The latest TDRA certification obtained by the device confirms the moniker, which is similar to Thailand’s NBTC certification. The certification reveals that the upcoming smartphone with the model number 23129RN51X will have the marketing name Redmi A3.

The TDRA certification hints that the smartphone will debut in the Middle East region soon. The certification doesn’t reveal any other specifications of the upcoming affordable Redmi smartphone.

The NBTC certification had confirmed that the device will offer 2G, 3G, and 4G LTE support. The upcoming smartphone was also spotted in EEC certification (European) alongside the Xiaomi 14 Ultra smartphone. The EEC certification did not disclose any specifications of the smartphone apart from the model number.

Xiaomi will likely debut the upcoming A series smartphone in March 2024 in global markets, similar to its timeline followed for the predecessor.

Xiaomi launched the Redmi A2 smartphone at Rs 5,999 for the base variant with 2GB RAM and 32GB storage. The device was also available in 2GB + 64GB and 4GB + 64GB configurations, which were priced at Rs 6,499 and Rs 7,499. The Redmi A2 smartphone has a 6.52-inch IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels.

The device features a waterdrop notch to house the 5MP selfie camera. The IPS panel has a standard refresh rate of 60Hz and a fair amount of bezels on all sides. The device sports the MediaTek Helio G36 SoC, built on a 12nm process. The smartphone runs on Android 12 Go Edition out of the box. The device is backed by a 5000mAh battery with support for 10W wired charging.
