Redmi K70 could launch in India as Poco F6. The smartphone has been spotted on the Indian certification website by a tipster, who posted a screenshot of the listing on X. Redmi is Xiaomi’s sub-brand and is expected to launch the Redmi K70 series in China in early December. It is standard practice for the company to launch its products in India under the Poco brand. For instance, the Redmi K60 from last year made its debut in global markets as the POCO F5 Pro.
The Redmi K70 series will be the company’s flagship smartphone series and successor to last year’s Redmi K60 series. It could have three models including the K70, K70E, and K70 Pro. Earlier this year, Poco F6 and F6 Pro models reportedly cleared the IMEI database. However, the launch timeline for POCO F6 has been predicted as the first quarter of next year by the tipster in his post on X. We look at what we know about the Redmi K70 series and POCO F6 series so far.
Redmi K70 Could Launch As POCO F6 In India
A POCO device has been spotted on the Indian certification website Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) by tipster Yash. In a screenshot, the smartphone can be seen listed under the POCO brand with model number 2311DRK481. To give a perspective, the Redmi K70 has model number 2311DRK48C, hinting that it could launch as the POCO F6 smartphone in India. Further, the launch is said to take place in the first quarter of 2024.
To recall, Redmi only brought one of its three K60 models (the base Redmi K60) to India last year (as POCO F5 Pro). However, rumours suggest that two Redmi K70 phones including the K70 and K70E could make it to the global market under the POCO branding. The Redmi K70 Pro could remain exclusive to the Chinese market. This means that we could see two POCO smartphones launch in the country next year.
POCO F6 with model number 2311DRK48I was previously spotted on the IMEI database. The POCO F6 Pro smartphone was listed with model numbers 23113RKC6G and 23113RKC6I.
However, the preliminary certifications do not reveal many details of the smartphones and the information needs to be taken with a pinch of salt. Of course, we will need to wait for an official confirmation to know more.
Redmi K70, K70E, K70 Pro Expected Specifications

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC is Qualcomm’s flagship processor, which was announced at its annual Snapdragon Tech Summit in October this year. Xiaomi 14 series, which made its debut last month was the first smartphone series to pack this processor. Now, it looks like ts could be seen on the most premium K70 series smartphone, which is the K70 Pro.
In comparison, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor was announced in 2022 as a flagship processor, which powers the K60 Pro and is also expected for the vanilla Redmi K70 model.
