Lumio has launched its latest premium smart TV lineup, the Vision 9 (2026), in India. The new models focus heavily on improving real-world performance, especially in areas where most smart TVs still struggle, such as slow navigation and lag during app switching.
The Lumio Vision 9 (2026) will be available in 55-inch and 65-inch screen sizes, with the larger variant going on sale later this month.
At the core of the Vision 9 (2026) is what Lumio calls its "Boss Performance" architecture. The TV is powered by MediaTek's Pentonic 700 chipset, paired with 3GB of RAM and faster onboard storage. The company claims that this setup delivers up to twice the performance compared to other TVs in this segment, which should translate to smoother navigation, faster app launches, and a more responsive overall experience.
Lumio is also targeting gamers with this model. The Vision 9 (2026) supports native 4K resolution at 144Hz and can go up to 240Hz at 1080p. It also includes support for variable refresh rate up to 240Hz and auto low latency mode with a claimed input lag of 9.7ms. With HDMI 2.1 and full bandwidth support, the TV is designed to handle high frame rate gaming on modern consoles and PCs without noticeable lag.
Display, Audio, and Smart Features
On the display side, the Vision 9 (2026) features a QD MiniLED panel with local dimming. It can reach up to 800 nits of peak brightness, which should help in HDR content playback. Lumio is using its EVA panel technology to improve contrast and black levels, with a claimed native contrast ratio of up to 7000:1.
The TV also supports Dolby Vision, along with HDR10 and HLG formats. Colour reproduction is another focus area, with support for a wide colour gamut and improved accuracy. The picture processing is handled by Lumio's DOPE 2 engine, which is tuned to deliver balanced HDR output and more natural-looking colours.
Audio performance is another area where Lumio is trying to stand out. The Vision 9 (2026) comes with a 50W DGS 2.2 speaker system that uses a hexa-driver setup, including dual subwoofers. The company claims improved bass output and clearer dialogue, even in scenes with heavy background sound. Dolby Atmos support is also included to enhance the overall soundstage.
The TV runs on Android 14 and introduces TLDR 2.0, Lumio's updated content discovery platform. It is designed to simplify how users find content across different streaming services. The system includes features like trending lists, curated recommendations, and improved search filters that allow users to sort content by language, genre, or platform.
Alongside this, Lumio also showcased Project Neo, which takes a different approach to content discovery. Instead of relying on the TV interface, users can interact with the TV through apps like WhatsApp, Instagram, and Telegram. For example, users can send a message or share a video link, and the system will automatically identify the content and create a watchlist on the TV. This feature is expected to roll out later this year.
Lumio has also refreshed its Vision 7 lineup for 2026. The updated models now offer significantly higher storage, going up to 64GB, along with faster performance. The company has also added a satellite port, allowing users to access free TV channels through DD Free Dish.
