The iPhone 17 delivers a near-perfect everyday flagship experience with a great display, strong battery life, and balanced cameras. But iOS 26 issues like heating, battery drain, and call instability hold it back. It’s easy to recommend for hardware, but the software needs fixing to truly justify its price.

The Xiaomi 17T gets most things right. It delivers a premium design, a fantastic display, reliable performance, and, for the first time, Leica-tuned cameras on a T-series smartphone. The 5x telephoto camera is a standout, while the pricing makes it even more appealing in a market where premium mid-rangers are creeping into flagship territory. Battery life and charging speeds could have been better, and gamers may miss 120 FPS support, but overall, the Xiaomi 17T is an easy recommendation for most buyers.

The Vivo X300 FE proves that compact smartphones no longer need to compromise on battery life, cameras, or performance. Its comfortable form factor, excellent telephoto camera, vibrant display, and outstanding battery life make it one of the most well-rounded compact flagships available today. However, its biggest challenge comes from within Vivos own lineup. At its current price, the standard Vivo X300 remains a compelling alternative. Still, if portability is your top priority, the X300 FE makes a very strong case for itself.
