The Infinix Smart 8HD is one of the best smartphone deals you can get on the market right now. It's primary snapper is a rockstar in the day, it offers a fuss-free interface with a little bit of bloat along with respectable performance. We wish its Magic Ring had more use-cases and its secondary camera would have been traded for slightly faster charging speeds.

Realme C25Y 64GB variant gives users more of the same. It comes with a 6.52-inch HD display, powered by Unisoc chipset but with 4GB RAM. The storage is expandable, the rear cameras are good for the price and the battery life keeps everyone happy. But even then we don't recommend this phone to buyers.

The Vivo Y18 features a 6.56-inch LCD screen with a 90Hz refresh rate, providing an acceptable viewing experience and moderately smooth scrolling. Powered by the MediaTek Helio G85 SoC, the phone handles everyday tasks such as calling, texting, scrolling through Instagram, and watching YouTube videos well, with only minor lags and stutters. However, intensive games like BGMI and Call of Duty: Mobile can only be played at the lowest settings and crashed multiple times during our testing. In contrast, casual games like Subway Surfers and 2048 run smoothly on this device. The phone has a 50MP primary camera and 0.08MP secondary camera on the back, and an 8MP front camera for selfies. The photo quality is average but sufficient for basic needs. It is equipped with a 5000mAh battery that supports 15W charging, which is relatively slow. The device runs on Funtouch OS 14, based on Android 14, and can feel somewhat laggy at times. Overall, considering its features and performance, the Vivo Y18 is a solid choice in the under-10K price segment.

The Samsung Galaxy M04 is the company's latest smartphone in the affordable class aimed at the public. The phone has a lovely design and a good performance. It has a MediaTek Helio P35 CPU that is adequate for regular use. Furthermore, despite the fact that the manufacturer only provides 15W fast charging support, the battery backup is acceptable. Having saying that, the phone is a good bargain at this price point.

The Realme C2 is a bit of a mixed bag. While the software is great, cameras perform well, and battery life is excellent, the use of a weak chipset results in a jittery experience. there is also just 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage on the base variant, which can further hamper multitasking on this phone. The Realme C2 makes sense for those looking for a bare minimum Android smartphone. If you have the budget to go for the higher storage variant, just pick up the Redmi 7 instead.

The Poco C61 boasts a larger display, an attractive design, and a battery that can last up to two days. Its 6.71-inch IPS LCD display, while not top-tier, comes at a reasonable price and offers a decent 90Hz refresh rate for a smoother experience. Now, under the hood, it's powered by the MediaTek Helio G36 SoC. It's a budget chip, but it'll handle your everyday stuff just fine. It can even run games like BGMI and COD at lower settings, though it's not geared towards high-performance gaming. Its camera setup includes an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP selfie camera, providing decent picture quality. The real standout feature is its 5000mAh battery, offering impressive longevity. What really sets this phone apart is its inclusion of Android 14 out-of-the-box, offering users the latest software experience. With MIUI 14 providing extensive customization options and features like the MIUI dialer for call recording, it adds significant value to the package. For those looking for a wallet-friendly smartphone without compromising on essential features, the Poco C61 is a compelling option at the lowest end of the budget spectrum.

The Redmi 7A is an impressive choice for first-time smartphone buyers. Priced at just Rs 6,499, it offers a large screen, decently fast performance for day-to-day tasks, feature-rich MIUI software, adequate cameras, and long battery life. We wish Xiaomi had used a USB Type-C port, though.

The Redmi 12C is an entry-level smartphone from Xiaomi which offers good performance and excellent battery life. The handset has a microSD card slot for storage expansion and up to 4GB of RAM. However, do note that the handset runs Android 12 OS, lacks 5G, and has a standard 60Hz refresh rate display. The device also doesn't supports fast charging. Realme C11 2021 runs on Android 11 Go version which is why it only gets 2GB RAM. The cameras on both sides are basic, and you will get normal daily work done on the device. It offers a big HD+ screen along with a big capacity battery for long backup. You get 32GB storage that is further expandable. This phone caters to select users, who need a basic smartphone for regular tasks. Not meant for heavy users. Better to skip this one.

The Redmi 5A is one of the best entry-level smartphones offered by Xiaomi. Its battery backup is wonderful, and the display quality is quite satisfactory. While a fingerprint scanner and better cameras could have helped, these aren't major concerns considering how affordable this handset is. It certainly gets our recommendation for someone looking for a basic smartphone to get the job done.
