The Motorola Edge 70 Pro Plus is easily Motorola's most complete smartphone yet. It combines a beautiful design, an excellent display, reliable performance, versatile cameras, and premium features like wireless charging and a periscope telephoto lens into a well-rounded package. However, battery life could have been better, and Hello UI still needs software refinement. More importantly, the excellent Motorola Edge 70 makes the Pro Plus a tougher recommendation. Unless the telephoto camera is a priority, the cheaper sibling offers better overall value.

I was impressed with almost everything about the Nothing Phone (3) until I saw its price, which honestly felt hard to justify given the chipset inside is found in phones around Rs 40,000. That said, it still offers a solid triple-camera setup, a big battery, a striking design, and a great display. At its current price of Rs 44,600 on Amazon, it feels far more reasonable and worth considering if you have been eyeing it.

The OnePlus 12R closely resembles its older sibling, the OnePlus 12. It features a glossy back panel that does get covered in fingerprints easily. Still, the phone is comfortable to hold and well-built. This phone features a 6.78-inch ProXDR display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The display is bright and offers a great viewing experience. Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, which is slightly older, the chipset handles everyday tasks and heavy gaming efficiently. If you’re looking for a smartphone that balances performance and gaming, the 12R is a strong choice. At the back, the 12R boasts a 50MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP macro camera. The photos are crisp and detailed, but if you prioritise advanced photography features, you might prefer the OnePlus 12. The phone has a 5500mAh battery and comes with an 80W charging adapter. You can expect a full day of battery life with light to moderate use. Overall, the OnePlus 12R offers a flagship-level experience at a more affordable price.
