With the Pixel 9 series launch, Google has introduced a new design language. We had the opportunity to try out the Google Pixel 9, and it is stunning. The camera module on the back has been completely revamped, featuring a horizontal pill-shaped design that exudes a premium feel. From the front, the Pixel 9 resembles an iPhone. Its glossy frames add to its high-end appearance, though the slick finish can lead to more accidental slips. For those who prefer compact phones, the Pixel 9 is an excellent choice for everyday use. The software is clean and packed with impressive AI features. Google consistently nails the AI aspect, and features like "Add Me" and "Pixel Screenshots" are intuitive and practical. While the overall performance is solid, you might have to make some compromises when playing high-end games. The battery life is quite reliable, too. Additionally, the camera performance is truly outstanding. So, if you value a refined design, a stunning display, a clean user interface, and robust AI features, the Pixel 9 is an excellent option.

The Pixel 7a is the most practical Pixel to date, offering the best combination of specifications, experience and cameras. But, it's still a bit underpowered compared to the competition and it charges extremely slowly.

Pixel 6a is excellent choice for those who love stock Android experience. Google promises multi-year software update cycle which is a great addition. The Pixel 6a can handle most intensive tasks but isn't ideal for hardcore gamers.

The Google Pixel 7 features a 6.3-inch FHD+ OLED display with a refresh rate of 60Hz to 90Hz. The display offers vibrant colours and a pleasant viewing experience. The Pixel 7 has a solid build quality, though it can become uncomfortable to hold after long periods. The stereo speakers deliver excellent volume and clarity. In terms of cameras, the Pixel 7 includes a 50MP wide camera, a 12MP ultra-wide camera on the back, and a 10.8MP selfie camera on the front. The camera app offers a variety of features, including Magic Eraser, Photo Unblur, and Cinematic Blur. The image quality of the wide camera is impressive, but the ultra-wide camera's results are too narrow compared to other smartphones. The Pixel 7 is powered by the Tensor G2 SoC, which handles everyday tasks smoothly. However, extended gaming sessions can cause the back panel to heat up. The phone has a 4355mAh battery, smaller than the Pixel 6's. It runs on Android 13 out of the box and will be among the first to receive the Android 14 update. The software provides a stock Android experience with excellent features. If you're looking for a flagship device with good cameras, great features, a stock Android experience, and reliable performance for daily tasks, the Pixel 7 is an excellent choice.

The Google Pixel 8 Pro features a matte body finish that makes it easy to hold, and the device feels quite compact. It has a 6.7-inch OLED display that remains bright even under glaring sunlight. The display offers a 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring smooth animations and an impressive user experience. Powered by the Tensor G3 SoC, the phone boasts significant AI capabilities and handles everyday tasks efficiently. However, its gaming performance may not meet expectations, as the phone tends to heat up during extended gameplay sessions. The Pixel 8 Pro has a 50MP primary camera and a 48MP ultra-wide camera. While the primary camera shows minimal improvements over the Pixel 7 Pro, the tones are cooler. The phone excels in low-light photography, which is a notable advantage. It has a 5050mAh battery and supports 30W charging, although the charger is not included in the box. Running on Android 14, the 8 Pro offers a pure Android experience. Therefore, if you are looking for a smartphone with excellent camera capabilities, a stock Android experience, and advanced AI features, the Pixel 8 Pro is a strong contender.

The Pixel 8 is a compelling option for those seeking a premium Android experience with a fantastic camera, clean software, and a commitment to long-term updates. It's also a compact phone, which is quite rare these days. The display and design are top-notch, and the AI features are helpful for productive tasks. However, battery life and charging speed remain its downsides. If these areas aren't dealbreakers for you, the Pixel 8 is a phone that will continue to get better with time.

The Google Pixel 4A comes with a 5.8-inch OLED display. The device is powered by Snapdragon 730 SoC. The smartphone features a 12MP dual-camera setup which takes some good images. The phone packs a 3000mAh battery. The battery life on the device is average. Additionally, the device supports 18W fast charging. Google made significant improvements with the Pixel 3 lineup when compared to its previous attempt. The 3 XL in particular offers improved audio-visual capabilities, complete with HDR10 capable OLED screen and louder stereo speakers. However, the phone is far from perfect. Its notch is hideous, there is no micro-SD card slot, no headphone jack, and no 4k 60fps video recording. The Galaxy Note 9 fulfills all of these needs and then some.

On its own, the Pixel 3a is a refreshing smartphone that offers astounding photography capabilities, clean UI, robust build quality, acceptable battery life, and a headphone jack. Furthermore, the performance hit isn't too bad thanks to how well optimized the software is. Unfortunately, the INR 39,999 price tag for the Pixel 3a is just too much when options like the OnePlus7, Vivo Nex, Galaxy A80, and Zenfone 6 exist at around the same price point. Somewhere around the INR 30,000 mark is where this phone should have been positioned.

The Pixel 3A XL performs just as well in imaging as its more affordable sibling. Notable improvements here can be found with the increased battery capacity and inclusion of stereo speakers. However, at a price of Rs. 44,999, the Pixel 3A XL is tremendously overpriced for what it offers.
