The Samsung Galaxy S24 is a compact phone featuring a 6.1-inch AMOLED display with uniform bezels. It's powered by the Exynos 2400 SoC, which excels at multitasking. The phone handles any task with ease and performs well in gaming. The 120Hz refresh rate enhances the display, making it buttery smooth. After extended gaming sessions, it doesn't heat up excessively. However, the phone has a 4000mAh battery, which is quite small compared to other budget and mid-range smartphones. Despite this, the battery life is good, lasting almost 24 hours with light usage. The phone supports 25W charging, which is relatively low, and unfortunately, it doesn't include a charger in the box. Regarding the camera, the phone boasts a 50MP primary camera, a 10MP telephoto camera, and a 12MP ultra-wide camera on the rear. The primary and telephoto cameras perform well, but the ultra-wide camera still lacks autofocus. Low-light photography is decent but can sometimes be grainy. On the front, there's a 12MP selfie camera that works effectively. Overall, the Samsung Galaxy S24 is a compact phone with strong performance, impressive cameras, and good battery life.

The Xiaomi 14 is a compact phone with a very comfortable in-hand feel. Its glossy back panel is a fingerprint magnet, requiring constant cleaning. Despite this, the Xiaomi 14 is really attractive. The rich display quality and the 120Hz refresh rate enhance the viewing experience. The phone is powered by the latest chipset, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. The phone is very smooth for everyday use, and the animations are excellent, which is impressive. However, when playing demanding games, the phone starts heating up within 30 minutes, which is not ideal for avid gamers. One of the standout features of this phone is its cameras. It boasts a 50MP primary camera, a 50MP telephoto camera, and a 50MP ultra-wide camera. On the front, there's a 32MP selfie camera. The Xiaomi 14 can take incredible pictures in all environments, and the low-light picture quality is also great. The device has a 4610mAh battery, which is not particularly impressive, but it supports a 90W hypercharger, fully charging the phone in 35 minutes, which is quite convenient. Considering all these factors, the Xiaomi 14 is an excellent phone for everyday users, but avid gamers might need to look elsewhere.

The Honor 200 Pro is a compelling choice, especially for portrait photography enthusiasts, with its Studio Harcourt features. It boasts a sleek design, curved displays, and solid performance comparable to its peers. Despite not being primarily for gaming, it handles intensive titles smoothly. The software takes some getting used to, but productivity features like Magic Portal are appealing. The battery life is commendable, though the lack of a charger at this price point is a downside. Nonetheless, wireless charging support is a plus.

The Pixel 8 is a compelling option for those seeking a premium Android experience with a fantastic camera, clean software, and a commitment to long-term updates. It's also a compact phone, which is quite rare these days. The display and design are top-notch, and the AI features are helpful for productive tasks. Apple iPhone 13 Mini gives you more of the same with its size, features and cameras. The new A15 Bionic chipset improves performance, the battery life is better thanks to iOS 15 and the OLED display is still as good as any in the market. However, the screen lacks high refresh rate support, the phone comes without headphone jack and memory card slot. And the 20W fast charging at this price is not good. Worth buying if you need a compact and latest iPhone model.

Effortless design, impressive and notch-less screen, stereo speakers, eye-candy UI, great cameras, microSD card slot, 3.5mm headphone jack, and wireless charging all make up for a great recipe. However, a throttling processor and short battery life keep the Galaxy S9 from being a great all-round smartphone.

The Phantom V Flip excels in many areas, with a good inner display, impressive build quality, and competitive camera performance in daylight. It boasts good battery life and includes a charger in the box too. However, its mid-range chipset struggles with heavy gaming but outperforms the similarly-priced Razr 40 in benchmarks. The cover screen could be more practical as well. To sum up, the Tecno Phantom V Flip may not the best in its price range, but it offers an excellent value for those looking to make a statement or hang up on calls in style. The Moto Razr 40 is another alternative, but has its own drawbacks.

Apple iPhone 13 gets a 256GB storage model, which comes handy with its high-quality camera. The new A15 Bionic chip with 4GB RAM delivers reliable performance, and you have iOS 15 for power management and other features. The OLED display is great but you miss 120Hz refresh rate, the cameras are pretty good and so is the battery life. Having said that, basic things like headphone jack, memory card slot are missing. And you only have 20W charging support. Get the iPhone 13 if you have the budget and seek a phone with great camera.

The Apple iPhone 12 is very similar to the iPhone 12 Mini, and it differs only concerning screen size. A standard battery backs up the phone with 20W fast-charging support. Also, the phone supports wireless charging technology. The lack of a fingerprint sensor and non-expandable storage are certainly drawbacks.

The X60 Pro borrows a lot of its elements from the X60, except for better imaging prowess. The higher price means you get more cameras but apart from that, the Pro version looks and feels like the regular model only. In fact, this device gets a smaller battery for strange reason and even though it has an AMOLED screen, the lack of refresh rate support is perplexing to say the least. Probably worth going for other options at this price range and there are plenty to look at.
