The Moto G64 aims to offer an affordable device without cutting too many corners. And it succeeds in that aspect to a large extent. If you go for the higher-end variant, you get 256GB storage and 12GB RAM for under Rs 16,000, which is impressive. What stands out is the design, the general performance, the camera, and the large battery size. The user interface is also simple.
But then Motorola is restricting Android updates to just one more version. Is this the best display one can get on a phone? No, nor is it a device centred around gaming. But then, given the price, it ticks some of the more important boxes quite nicely. If one goes by pricing, its biggest rival would be the Realme P1, which has more to offer on the gaming front. Get the Moto G64 if you want a phone that does the basics well and your budget is limited to Rs 14,000-Rs 16,000.

If you're in the market for a smartphone under Rs 10,000, the Motorola G45 is worth considering. Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 SoC, it handles everyday tasks smoothly and is capable of decent multitasking. The design, like many Motorola models, stands out with its flat display and thicker bezels, though this might not be to everyone's taste. On the plus side, the vegan leather finish adds a touch of elegance, making it visually appealing. The display offers good colour reproduction but outdoor brightness levels could have been better. When it comes to battery life, the G45 underperforms and doesn't provide the reliability you'd expect. However, if your priority is a phone that delivers solid performance, handles daily tasks with ease, offers decent camera quality for its price, and you're willing to overlook some design shortcomings, the G45 could be the right pick for you.

The Moto G31 comes with a 6.4-inch AMOLED display that has Full HD+ resolution. The device boots Android 11 out of the box with stock UI on top. On the backside, the device features a 50MP dual-camera setup, which takes some good images. The device offers a long-lasting battery life, and the battery supports 20W fast charging. However, the performance on the device is mediocre and the handset supports only a 60Hz refresh rate. In the Rs 13,000 price range, the Moto G31 is a great smartphone, considering that you are getting an AMOLED display, stock Android, and a 50MP dual-cameras.

Moto G40 Fusion packs decent specifications in the sub-20,000 category. The smartphone has a wide display with HDR 10+ certification, impressive triple-rear cameras (64MP+8MP+2MP) offering excellent image quality, offers ample space thanks to its expandable memory support of up to 1TB. The large 6000mAh battery ensures longer hours of interrupted usage, and with fast-charging support, the device can be charged pretty quickly. The lack of AMOLED display and onboard internal storage of only 64GB are its cons.

Moto E40 comes with a 6.5-inch IPS LCD display. The device is powered by an octa-core Unisoc T700 chipset. The smartphone packs 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The smartphone boots Android 11 out of the box. The device packs a 5000mAh battery. The performance of the device is average. Additionally, the phone lacks fast charging support. If you are looking for a smartphone with a bigger display and longer battery life, then the Moto E40 is the ideal offering.

Moto G10 Power live up to its name, almost. It packs a big screen with HD+ quality which ensures you get long backup thanks to the built-in 6000mAh battery that supports 20W fast charging. The rear cameras do a good job for this price, and getting Android 11 out of box is a good sign. But the battery makes the phone bulky, hybrid SIM slot is not expected in this price range and the overall performance is average for most tasks. Go for the G10 Power if you need a phone with long backup and a big screen.

The only thing that Moto E5 Plus is better than its competitors is in the battery backup. However, even in battery backup, it is only marginally better. Other smartphones in the same price range like the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro and the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 offer tons of other features and they also perform better, while having almost similar battery backup. Therefore, I think it is pointless to buy the Moto E5 Plus.

Moto G9 gives you the promise of clean Android interface without any bloatware. Its design has an appealing effect, and the water-repellent coating is a bonus. The triple rear cameras can click decent photos in daylight and the battery backup is pretty solid as well. Having said that, you get HD+ resolution on a 6.5-inch screen and the hardware fails to match with the performance of others in the segment.

Moto G31 is another phone in the mid-range bracket that has some good and some bad parts. It sports an AMOLED display but misses on high refresh rate. The hardware includes 6GB RAM with 128GB storage which is expandable at the cost of second SIM. The cameras do a good job in normal conditions, but lack in low light. The long battery life helps but no fast charging at this price is a big miss.
