The Vivo T4 5G stands out with its excellent battery life, solid display, and dependable performance for casual use. Its portrait camera shines, though low-light shots need work. While the software is stable and updated regularly, spammy notifications and limited long-term support may be off-putting. The mono speaker also underwhelms. Consider the iQOO Z10 for similar proposition yet speedier performance, the Nothing Phone (3a) for a cleaner UI, or the Motorola Edge 60 Fusion for a more balanced experience.

The iQOO Z10 offers a great mix of flagship-like features without breaking the bank. Its standout 7,300mAh battery delivers impressive real-world endurance, and performance remains smooth whether you're gaming or handling everyday tasks - all without heating issues. However, photography lovers might be disappointed by the lack of an ultra-wide camera. If long battery life, strong performance, a vibrant display, and a premium design top your list, the iQOO Z10 is a solid pick at Rs 21,999. You can also explore options like the Vivo T4, Nothing Phone (3a), or the CMF Phone 2 Pro (higher storage variant) in the same range.

Motorola has crafted a no-nonsense, well-rounded smartphone with the Edge 60 Fusion. Its display, stereo speakers, and battery make it a multimedia powerhouse, while the clean UI and capable cameras add value. However, app performance isn't the best, and it lags behind rivals in raw power. For better performance, the Nothing Phone (3a) is worth a look.

The Samsung Galaxy A35 is an elegant smartphone with features that would meet the needs of modern, everyday consumers. But as with its predecessors, it carries a similar premium of Rs 30,999 for the base model of 128GB built-in storage to deliver the same. In the past few years, this upper mid-tier segment has drawn a lot of competition. So, if you want pure specs, you can find better options such as the Motorola Edge 50 Pro and Realme 12 Pro Plus. Both handsets ship with Qualcomm's powerful 7 series processors and quad cameras at the back. If you're looking for beauty with brains, then the Vivo V30 is also a good option, especially considering it's the first V series handset with Zeiss certification for imaging.

The POCO X7 Pro is a great choice if you're on a budget, want a sleek design, and demand solid performance. While BGMI and Call of Duty: Mobile need better optimization, it offers a fantastic display and long-lasting battery for entertainment and daily use. However, its cameras struggle with exposure, and the OS can be intrusive with notifications. If you prefer strong optics, the Vivo T3 Pro is a solid alternative, while the Nothing Phone 2 offers a cleaner UI. For pure performance, the X7 Pro excels.

The OnePlus Nord CE4, starting at Rs 24,999, offers reliability with its sleek design and powerful Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor. Gaming is smooth, and the robust battery with 100W fast charging ensures you stay powered up. While its cameras excel in daylight, low-light performance could be better. Opting out of bloatware is a plus, but longer software support would be appreciated. Overall, it's a solid choice under Rs 25,000 for those seeking dependable performance.

The Galaxy A55 is a solid mid-range phone with a minimal design, good display quality, and a reliable Exynos chipset. The phone mostly impresses but isn't a major upgrade over the Galaxy A54. So, if you are still using that phone, no need to upgrade. But, if there's an older model you want to change, this is a good option provided you are looking for a reliable mid-range phone. As for the alternatives, you can go for the OnePlus 12R, which comes with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and is a performance-centric device. The iQOO Neo 9 Pro is another decent contender for hardcore gaming.

The Nord 4's new design, processor, bigger battery and AI capabilities make it a worthy successor to the previous cult hit Nords. We won't say it has zero bloat, but it's cleaner than several other smartphones in its price category. It's competing against the Realme GT 6T, and the two phones offer very similar feature sets. But we believe your choice will ultimately rely on the aesthetics, specifically a flat display vs curved and a metal unibody vs glass sandwich.

The OPPO Reno 12 possesses an unique proposition in the sub-Rs 35,000 price range: a camera-centric phone dabbling in AI as well. The AI features on this phone are far from just gimmicks, and they can actually come in handy for office-goers and students. The cameras are good too, but the ultra-wide shooter and the low-light photography need a bit of tweaking; however, these are just minor gripes that don't really affect the phone's quality in the grand scheme of things.

The Galaxy A26 5G is great for first-time users like teens or elders, offering a vibrant display, smooth 120Hz refresh rate, and a clean, easy-to-use UI. It handles everyday tasks well but slows with heavier use. The mono speaker and low-light camera performance are underwhelming, and battery life is average. For better all-rounders, the Motorola Edge 60 Fusion offers a cleaner UI, while the Nothing Phone (3a) delivers more speed - but Samsung wins on longevity and updates.

The Realme 14 Pro starts at Rs 24,999 and covers all the basics well. The Jaipur Pink looks sleek, and the camera module adds a premium touch. The display is vibrant, and audio is great up to 80%. Beyond that, it loses some charm. It performs well for casual gaming and everyday tasks, with a snappy, bloat-free software experience. Camera performance shines in good lighting, but low-light and selfies need some improvement. The lack of ultra-wide mode is a miss, especially for selfie lovers. For the price, it gets the job done, though it does warm up occasionally.

OnePlus Nord CE 5G is the affordable version that sits below the regular Nord launched last year. It supports 5G thanks to Snapdragon 750G SoC, and this variant gets 6GB RAM with 128GB storage which is not expandable. You do get back the headphone jack which is good but the plastic body is a downer in this price range these days. The cameras are average at best but thankfully the long battery life with fast charging helps in daily use cases. Nord CE 5G has touch competition in this price bracket right now.

Motorola is renowned for delivering premium-looking devices at budget-friendly prices. With the Edge 50, they have aimed to push boundaries by incorporating a vegan leather finish and a fully curved display and design. This phone offers a minimalist yet attractive look for users who appreciate elegance and simplicity. Despite its sleek design, the Edge 50 features a robust 5000mAh battery, which is quite impressive. Unfortunately, the 15W charging adapter may leave some users wanting more. Nonetheless, the battery life is reliable, easily lasting over a day on a single charge. The super HD display with a 120Hz refresh rate enhances the viewing experience, making it much more enjoyable. Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 AE SoC, this phone handles everyday tasks effortlessly. However, you might experience heating issues during intensive gaming sessions with titles like BGMI and Call of Duty: Mobile. While the camera performs well overall, the portrait photography feature may disappoint some users. Considering all these aspects, the Motorola Edge 50 attempts to cater to a wide range of user needs. However, compromises may be necessary for photography and fast charging.

The Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus impresses with its upgrades like IP rating, curved display, and NFC, though inconsistent camera output and poor low-light imaging along with bloatware mar the experience. Strong battery life and rapid charging are stand-out features as well. However, its pricing faces stiff competition from performance-centric devices like the OnePlus Nord 3, iQOO Neo 7 Pro, and Poco F5. The Infinix GT 20 Pro is a budget-friendly gaming smartphone offering a smooth 90fps experience and solid everyday performance. It boasts an excellent display and decent cameras for its price. However, it lacks an ultra-wide camera, and low-light photography is just average. The design is similar to its predecessor, though the new Mecha RGB loop lighting is a nice touch. Battery life could be better. Despite these drawbacks, the Infinix GT 20 Pro hits 'almost' all the marks in the sub-Rs 25,000 price range, making it a great choice.

The Vivo Y200 5G is a budget-friendly smartphone with a decent camera and an appealing design. Sporting a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, it offers an enjoyable viewing experience. The design features a matte finish with a glass back panel, which looks sleek and doesn't attract fingerprints. But it's not just a pretty face - powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC, this bad boy handles everyday tasks with ease and even lets you kick back with some casual gaming. With a hefty 4800mAh battery and 44W fast charging support, you're set for a day of uninterrupted use. Now, let's talk about the camera setup. On the rear, there's a 64MP primary camera with OIS and a 2MP bokeh camera, accompanied by a smooth aura ring light for improved low-light photography. For selfies, there's a 16MP front camera that captures decent shots, although it sometimes smoothens the skin, giving it an unnatural look. Running on FuntouchOS 13 based on Android 13, the Vivo Y200 5G offers ample customisation options, albeit accompanied by some pre-installed apps you might not need. Nevertheless, if you're seeking a budget smartphone with a focus on camera performance, the Vivo Y200 5G is worth considering.

The OnePlus Nord 3's upgrades are worthy of making it the most sought-after mid-range smartphone in recent years, especially due to its balance of performance and clean UI. If the Rs 2,000 premium over the Poco F5 stings you, think of it as a one-time fee to get rid of bloatware.

The Oppo F25 Pro packs a punch with solid performance, decent cameras for its price, and a battery that claims to be up and running for 16 to 17 hours. Its 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a speedy 120Hz refresh rate makes switching apps a breeze, while HDR 10+ support brings colours to life. Despite its rather ordinary design, the matte finish keeps fingerprints at bay. On the back, you'll find a 64MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP macro shooter, with a 32MP selfie camera up front. Picture quality is alright, but watch out for the selfie cam - it might make your face a bit too smooth. At the helm of it is the MediaTek Dimensity 7050 SoC, the F25 Pro handles everyday tasks and light gaming effortlessly. However, be prepared for lacklustre performance especially on high-end games, as the processor is based on a three-year-old architecture. With ColorOS 14 on board, based on Android 14, there's plenty of room for customisation, the presence of pre-installed apps can clutter the experience. With the 5000mAh battery and 67W fast charger included in the package - all for a price that's well within Rs 25,000.

The Galaxy A73 5G comes with a 6.7-inch AMOLED display that has Full HD+ resolution. The display panel has a 120Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The Snapdragon 778G equipped with the A73 5G offers decent performance. The handset runs Android 12 out of the box. The device supports 25W fast charging. However, the device is a bit pricey in India. In the Rs 41,999 price range, the OnePlus 9 RT 5G or the iQOO 9 5G can be a better option compared to the Galaxy A73 5G.

The OnePlus 8T is a premium mid-ranger from the company. It does pack exciting features such as a 120 Hz screen refresh rate and Warp 65W fast charging support. The device runs Oxygen 11 OS that accounts for an excellent smartphone experience. The phone is let down by average camera performance, and it also does not support wireless charging. The pricing is slightly on the expensive front; there are other available alternatives such as Samsung S20FE and Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro at a lesser price.

If you're someone who loves trendy back panels, then the Samsung Galaxy F54 is the smartphone for you. It boasts a glossy back panel with a rainbow effect, though it does tend to attract fingerprints easily. Aside from this, the design language remains consistent with other Samsung devices. The Galaxy F54 features a 6.5-inch screen offering a 120Hz refresh rate, delivering vibrant colours for an immersive multimedia experience. On the rear, users will find a 108MP primary camera with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP macro shooter, capturing natural-looking photos with rich colors. For selfies, there's a 32MP front camera, delivering accurate skin tones. The Samsung Galaxy F54 is powered by the Exynos 1380 chipset, which effortlessly handles daily tasks such as multitasking, calling, and messaging, among others. The phone is also capable of running heavy games like BGMI and Call of Duty: Mobile, although it may tend to heat up after extended use. Running on One UI 5.1 based on Android 13, the device offers plenty of customisation options, although it does come with some bloatware, fortunately removable. With a robust 6000mAh battery and 25W fast charging support, the Galaxy F54 ensures long-lasting battery life, although it's worth noting that the charger is not included in the box. Overall, if you're seeking a smartphone with an impressive display, reliable performance, and great daylight photography, the Samsung Galaxy F54 is an excellent choice.
