The device runs on Android 12, which is disappointing since the latest version, Android 13, should be included. The Note 12 is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 SoC. It performs moderately well for day-to-day tasks, but games crash too frequently in gaming. The rear camera setup consists of a 48MP primary camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP macro camera. Daylight shots are acceptable and have good colour accuracy, but the ultrawide camera could do with some improvements. On the front, there’s a 13MP selfie camera with various beauty modes and filters, producing consistently nice skin tones. Considering these factors, the Redmi Note 12 is a good smartphone with a solid design, decent performance, and impressive cameras.

However, for this price, the phone lacks an AMOLED panel, the cameras are average and you only have 18W fast charging support. If you don't need a 5G phone right now, there are better 4G phones in the market at this price.
